KRATKI OPIS PERFORMANSA:
U performansu ČETIRI GODIŠNJA DOBA u klaonici preplićem dvije meni bliske teme – animalizam i ekofeminizam. Potaknut sam činom sufražetkinje Emily Wilding Davison koja je boreći se za ženska prava skočila ispred konja kralja Georgea V. godine 1913.  i poginula. Istina o klanju životinja nije nimalo ugodna: klaonice su poput vizije najdubljega pakla. U komercijalnim klaonicama, ali i na malim farmama, životinje bivaju ošamućene udarcima maljem, električnom strujom ili mesarskim pištoljima i još živima reže im se grkljan. Neke od potresnih fotografija koje se nikada neće – u punoj okrutnosti – prikazati na TV ekranima dostupne su, primjerice, na web stranici udruge Prijatelji životinja. Dovoljno je možda samo spomenuti oksimoronsko i ciničko ime zakona O HUMANOM KLANJU.

Reditelj/autor performansa:
Robert Franciszty (Zagreb, 1969.) uz pjesništvo se bavi fotografijom, slikarstvom, performansom u kojima tematizira radikalni animalizam, dubinsku i urbanu ekologiju, ekofeminizam i ekoanarhizam. Aktivni je član udruge Prijatelji životinja (Zagreb).

SHORT DESCRIPTION
In the performance FOUR SEASONS in the slaughterhouse the author intertwines to him two very personal topics - animalism and ecofeminism. He feels spurred on by the act of the suffragette Emily Wilding Davison who, fighting for women's rights jumped in front of the horse of King George the V in 1913 and died. The truth about the slaying of animals is by no means pleasant: slaughterhouses are like a vision of the deepest hell. In commercial slaughterhouses, but on small farms as well, animals are stunned with a hammer, electric power or stun guns and their throats are cut while they are still alive. It is perhaps enough to mention the name of the law: THE HUMANE SLAUGHTER law, and note how cynical and what an oxymoron it is.

Director/Performance Artist:
Robert Franciszty (Zagreb, Croatia, 1969) has been a poet, painter, photographer and a performance artist since 1986. In his animal related work, performance arts and actions he depicts animal rights, environmental protection, urban ecology, ecofeminism and ecoanarchism. He is an active member of the non-profit and non-governmental organization Animal Friends Croatia.
