Režiser Anne Whesphal:
Rođena je i odrasla u Njemačkoj, živjela je u Francuskoj, na Islandu i od 1976. u Rio de Žaneiru, Brazil. Studirala je mehanički inžinjering i radila je kao projektant uglavnom u brodskim lukama. Počela je studirati pozorišne umjetnosti, muziku i ples od 1979. i započela je svoju umjetničku karijeru '84. sa svojom pozorišnom plesnom grupom Amalagma. Kreirala je, režirala, izvodila i producirala nekoliko predstava za odrasle i također neke za djecu. 1989. je nominovana za Mamembe nagradu za vizualni koncept njene dječije predstave “Estórias do Chinês”. 1990. je uslijedila njena druga izvedba za djecu “Os Mumins”.
1996. je počela putovati sa svojim repertoarom i pozivana je na mnoge međunarodne festivale, uglavnom u istočnoj Evropi  i Latinskoj Americi.
Glavne osobine njenog rada su istraživanje integracijskih umjetnosti, manipulacija i kreativna transformacija instalacija konstruisanih recikliranim materijalom, te u vizualnoj koncepciji i plasticitetu.

Kompozitor João Mendes:
1986. je diplomirao na UFRJ (Federalni Univerzitet Rio de Žaneiro) (klasična gitara). Studirao je kompoziciju sa Michel Phillippot, H.J. Koellreutter i drugima, zatim elektroakustičnu muziku /digitalnu muziku sa Rodolfo Caesarom i  Rodrigo Cicchelli Vellosom.
Završio je postdiplomski studij iz muzikologije / Uni Rio (2000).
Započeo je doktorat pri UNI RIO u 2003.
Od 1986. je radio zajedno sa Anne Westphal , i kao muzičar i kao kompozitor, u slijedećim izvedbama :  "Compassos", "Césio 137", "Metal and Cut",  "Desperate Impressions",  "Que bicho é esse?", "Flamingo" i "Papelixo".

Performans:
Ovaj pozorišni performans je zamišljen tako da natjera ljude – odrasle I djecu – da razmisle o svom bačenom smeću – ne samo u gradu, već I na najljepšim mjestima u prirodi, kao što su plaže, cijela morska obala i pored puteva u prirodi...
Šta bi mogle biti posljedice u budućnosti?
Proizvodnja, konzumacija i bacanje su akcije koje su postale dijelom naših života, automatske, i sada se podrazumijevaju bez razmišljanja.
Sav materijal koji se koristi u ovoj predstavi je zapravo smeće: stare novine, plastične boce, plastične kese... – a ipak iskorištene i transformisane na veoma kreativan način – postale su scenografija i predmeti interakcije istovremeno. Također, biće predstavljene lutke napravljene od plastičnih boca (insekti i cvijeće), tako ističući publici određene kreativne mogućnosti...

PAPELIXO (The Garbage Play)

 Director Anne Westphal:
She was born and brought up in Germany and has also lived in France, Iceland and since 1976 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She has studied mechanical engineering and has worked as a draughtsman mainly on shipyards. She started to study theatre arts, dance and music in 1979 and began her artistic career in 1984 with her own dance-theatre group Amalgama. She has created, directed, performed and produced several plays for adults and also some for children. She was nominated in 1989 for the Mambembe Award for the visual concept of her production for children “Estórias do Chinês”. 1990 followed her second production for children “Os Mumins”.
She started to travel with her repertory in 1996 and has been to many international festivals, mainly in East Europe and Latin America.
The characteristic of her work lies in the research of integrating arts;   in the manipulation and creative transformation of installations constructed with recycled materials, and in the visual conception and plasticity.

Composer João Mendes:
Graduated at UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) in 1986 (classical guitar). Studied composition with  Michel Phillippot, H.J. Koellreutter and others. Studied electroacoustic music /computermusic with Rodolfo Caesar and  Rodrigo Cicchelli Velloso.
Masterdegree in Musicology / Uni Rio (2000).
Started for his PHD at UNI RIO in 2003.
Since 1986 he has worked together with Anne Westphal , both as a musician and composer, in the following productions:  "Compassos", "Césio 137", "Metal and Cut",  "Desperate Impressions",  "Que bicho é esse?", "Flamingo" and "Papelixo".

Performance:
This theatrical performance is meant to make people,- children and adults - think about all the thrown away garbage - not only in the city, but also on the most beautiful places of nature like beaches or places of difficult access like all along the seashore or along the countryroads...
What might be the consequence in the future....?
Producing, consuming, throwing away and wasting are actions that have become part of our lives like being automatical and self-understood, without questioning about it.
All the material used in this performance actually is garbage: old newspapers, plastic bottles, plastic bags.... - yet used and transformed in a very creative way, becoming decoration and interacting objects at the same time. Also will be introduced and manipulated "puppets" made of plastic bottles (insects and flowers), thus showing the audience some creative possibilities….
